Hisham Assi
Hisham is the magic behind Parallel Interiors. He has been practicing interior design for more than a decade. With a B.A. in Architecture and a love for materials and interior spaces, Hisham enjoys combining the technical aspect of construction with the creative side of interior design to create stunning homes that incorporate everything from tile designs to gorgeous furniture. Hisham's passion for design started when he was in the 6th grade and he ‘redesigned’ his classroom furniture plan on the back of a school assignment. He arrived at school the next day to find the classroom rearranged based on his design. A note was left on his desk from his teacher that read, “You should think about being an architect or designer some day.” He has been creating and redesigning spaces ever since.

When should I hire a designer?The best time to hire a designer is as early as possible, ideally right after the architect has finished the initial plans. This allows us to review the layout and suggest any changes to the wall arrangements or spaces before construction begins. The next best time is before adding any tiling or block walls, ensuring the design flows smoothly with the construction. However, we can assist you at any stage of the project, even during implementation.

What is your design process and deliverables?Our design process begins with an initial kick-off meeting to understand your needs and vision. Next, we provide mood board images to help you communicate your style preferences. Once we have a clear idea, we create 3D renders to show you how your spaces will look. After your approval, we move on to the blueprints phase by preparing detailed drawings, including everything from interior details to electromechanical drawings if needed. The deliverables include: 3D renders for all main parts of the project. A construction blueprints booklet with electromechanical drawings, a bill of quantities, and specifications. (if required), A materials and lighting selection booklet.

Can I make changes after the design is finalized?Yes! We offer two revisions per room to ensure you get the design you love

How long does the project take to complete?Typically, our completion time is around 1 to 3 weeks for small to medium-sized projects. For larger projects, the timeline is usually between 4 to 6 weeks. However, the duration may vary depending on the scope of work and specific project details.

I only need new furniture; can you still help?Absolutely! We love to transform existing spaces with just furniture and furnishings. Whether it’s one room or your entire home we can help. We have plenty of experience as an interior designer in Jordan in furnishing existing homes. It’s amazing what new furniture and decor can do for a space. Let us elevate your home with stunning furniture and furnishings.

Do you offer contracting and supervision services?Yes, we offer both contracting and supervision services. If you already have a contractor, we can supervise their work to ensure everything is done according to the design plans. If you don’t have a contractor, we can hire one we've worked with before and supervise their work throughout the project. In either case, we agree on a supervision fee based on the scope of work and project requirements.
